there are a lot of things that make me look forward to having our own space again:

- painting Mason's room
- Maggie not being as crazy
- a bath tub I don't feel weird using

but most of all, I miss having a kitchen.  Don't get me wrong, there is no reason that I could not use my in-laws kitchen, they would be completely ok with that, but it always feels a little odd.  I feel like I am stepping on toes....  but I miss baking.  Now I have found a recipe for homemade doughnuts.... and I really want to try to make them, but I have no kitchen to try them in.  boo.

6 weeks ago....
i was still pregnant
in a hospital bed
listening to monitors
trying to sleep

completely unaware........
of what the next day would bring
of what the next six weeks would bring
of how much my heart could grow

I am amazed at how fast I can fall in love with someone while they sleep......

Catch Up......

May 2010.....  Normal day, went to the gym, ran some errands, and went home to get ready for Matt's aunt's birthday party.  Five minutes later I was on the floor, literally....

This little baby was definitely a huge shock for us, and the best thing we have ever done.  Baby Mason was born February 11, weighing a perfect 8 lbs 6 oz, and 21.5 inches long.  Instant love.

Since February 11, life has been a whirlwind.  We have been sleep deprived, overwhelmed, busy, and happier than ever.  This little face is worth all of it and so much more.

Well, here we go... a blog.  This is a direct response to Jill's request, and for all I know, she may be the only one who reads it!  Hopefully this will help me stay on top of keeping up to date with pictures, and writing down stories of our growing family.  This chapter in life seems to be flying by already.  So here's hoping that I can keep this current!
